Meet the Guy Behind the Manatee.
Glenn Holcomb has spent more than four decades working with technology, starting long before anyone had to worry about ransomware, cloud computing or whether employees were feeding confidential information into an AI chatbot.
After years working with increasingly complex business technology, Glenn founded Mighty Manatee IT in 2014 with a straightforward idea:
Today, he works with businesses and nonprofits throughout Central Florida to make their technology more reliable, more secure and a lot less mysterious.
Glenn also believes being a local business means being part of the local business community, not simply selling to it. When he's not solving an IT problem, you'll often find him involved with organizations and programs supporting entrepreneurs, nonprofits and small businesses throughout South Lake County.

Yes, There’s a Story
Behind the Name.
When Mighty Manatee IT was founded, we wanted a name that was unmistakably Florida and a little more memorable than another collection of initials followed by “Technology Solutions.”
The manatee seemed like a pretty good fit.
They’re distinctly Floridian, surprisingly resilient and generally go about their business without making a lot of noise.
❤︎ That’s not a bad description of good IT.
Most of the technology keeping your business running should quietly do its job in the background. You shouldn’t have to think about it constantly.
And when something does surface, you should know there’s someone there to take care of it.
Besides, there were already enough companies with names like ABC Technology Solutions.

Managed IT means taking ongoing responsibility for keeping your organization’s technology secure, reliable and working properly. At Mighty Manatee IT, the goal isn’t just to fix things when they break. It’s to prevent problems and keep technology from becoming another thing you have to manage.
2. How do I know if my business needs managed IT?
If your organization depends on technology but doesn’t have a dedicated IT department, managed IT may be a good fit. It becomes especially valuable when downtime, security problems or unreliable support can affect your employees or customers. Mighty Manatee IT primarily works with small businesses and nonprofits that have outgrown the “call someone when something breaks” approach and want technology managed proactively.
3. Does managed IT include cybersecurity?
It should. Cybersecurity isn’t something we believe should be bolted onto IT as an optional extra. 4. Do you provide onsite IT support?
Yes. Mighty Manatee IT provides both remote and onsite IT support for organizations in our Central Florida service area. Many issues can be resolved remotely, but sometimes someone actually needs to be there. Being locally based in South Lake County means our clients aren’t relying entirely on a distant help desk when hands-on assistance is needed.
5. What size businesses does Mighty Manatee IT work with?
We primarily support small businesses and nonprofits that need professional IT management without building an internal IT department. Most of our clients have relatively small teams, while our ideal managed IT environment is generally an organization with about 15 to 40 users. More important than size, though, is wanting technology and cybersecurity managed proactively rather than simply looking for someone to fix computers when they break.
6. What areas does Mighty Manatee IT serve?
Mighty Manatee IT is based in South Lake County and serves businesses and nonprofits throughout Central Florida, with a particular focus on Clermont, Groveland, Lake County and the surrounding communities.
